The Codebase Is the Fulcrum, Not the Model
Andrej Karpathy described agentic engineering as the next step past vibe coding — the skill is designing the loop the agent runs in, not writing the code the agent generates. What most teams haven't absorbed yet: the codebase is the constraint the loop runs inside. A coherent codebase makes the loop productive. An incoherent one makes it expensive.
